The MV TAZ offers two daily tours, seven days a week:

Morning Tour: 8:30am to 12:00pm
Afternoon Tour: 12:30pm to 4:00pm

Fun Fact
The shape and pattern of a the tail of a humpback whale (its fluke) is just like the fingerprint of a human. No two are alike. Whale researchers and whale watchers can identify humpback whales by the pattern on their flukes.

Fun Fact
Most of the whales we see on our whale watching tours don’t have teeth! Instead, they have baleen, plates that filter out small fish from water. They then swallow their food whole. Baleen whales include humpback whales, right whales, blue whales, sei whales and fin whales.

Fun Fact
Humpback whales are easy to tell apart by the markings on the underside of their tail fins. Each one has a unique pattern on his or her tail. Humpback whales only eat in summer, feeding off their fat reserves during the winter. Most of the whales in Alaska waters migrate to Hawaii for the winter.
